Today after church, we headed over to the fellowship hall to have lunch. The youth group was having their last fundraiser lunch to raise money for their summer camp next week, so we headed over to support them (and score another meal that I didn't have to cook or clean up after!). We walked past the building where our service is held and the kids heard music (it was a CD being played - but they think every singer they hear is David). Callie got really excited and said "I hear Daddy! Daddy's here singing!" The boys told her no, and then she remembered and said "oh yeah, he's in California two more days." Then Jacob said, "yeah, that's just a NEW pastor". I burst out laughing and informed them that the church had NOT gotten a new music pastor - Daddy's just on his missions trip and would be back soon - that it was just a CD playing. Hilarious!

A New Pastor?
We really have been fine this week, but we are all definitely missing David. The kids are especially messed up with the time change part (he's on the West Coast). In the past when we've been gone from him, they are used to being able to call him whenever they want - and often it is first thing in the morning. It's generally a good time for everyone. But this trip, I had to explain to them about the whole time change thing - it makes it very difficult! When it's a good time for us (namely in the morning before the chaos of the day begins), it's the middle of the night for him! When it's a good time for him - at the END of his day, it's the middle of the night for us and we're all sound asleep! So we've had a few quick conversations and some texts, but that's about it.

Aww! She's such a cutie!! I hear ya on the time change- Kevin would get up early (7am his time) just to skype with us at 10 am here. Of course, that didn't work at all on VBS week! SO glad for you that he's coming home today! :)
