Callie and "Big Baby" (from Toy Story 3....it's actually just a random doll from Walmart that Addison grew very attached to...it cracked me up because this "baby doll" was practically the same size as my 3 year old!)
Jackson and Jacob as Batman and Robin :)
We so loved our time in Raleigh. My boys were particularly trying on this trip - probably a combination of several factors, but it was very frustrating and humbling for me as a parent. It was encouraging, however, to know that I have a dear friend that loves me in spite of my failures, loves my kids in spite of their disobedience, and loves my family. We had so much fun during the days on our adventures with our kids, but I SO treasured our time each night - once they were all in bed asleep and we could just sit on the couch and talk uninterrupted for hours! It was JUST what I needed! And we got our training plan in place for October! :)

Oh Katy! You are the BEST when it comes to being a mom. I look up to YOU so much and enjoy learning from you. you challenge me. You always make me feel at ease with my children too and Lord knows they aren't the angels I wish they would be...but they are learning and we are learning and giving GRACE to each other AND our children will continue to get us through another day. :) your kids are precious and loved, loved, loved in our hearts and in this home! we LOVED having you and are so thankful that you chose to come and visit us. our nights chatting on the couch were the absolute best for my heart. thank you for being you and loving ME in spite of MY weaknesses. ;) like when i forget and plan a meal with green peppers. what is wrong with me!!! love you!
that's so HARD when our kids chose those moments to pull that stuff - i'm sorry! but that's real life, right?? and who better to be with than a dear friend!
