Falls, More Falls,and Dragons!

We found a little bitty waterfall - called slick Rock Falls. I don't recall the rocks being terribly slick though! :)
Callie found herself a good walking stick (it seemed to help since she brought Woody & Jessie along for that hike! :) )
We went looking to find Cove Creek Falls, but turned around after hearing it was further away than we anticipated.
Passing through a meadow on our way to the falls - it was just beautiful...and so peaceful out there!
We went back to Looking Glass Falls on our way down the mountain so David could swim for a bit. Callie and Caleb stayed with me - spectating - and the boys went in with David. These falls were huge though - and very forceful - so none of them got very close.
See David with his arms up in the air? He LOVED it!
We had lunch at the Twin Dragons Buffet - it was recommended to us by our friends. It was a HUGE chinese buffet (and also had other "regular" buffet lines too" and was delicious. The big hit for the kids was the dessert bar - make your own ice cream sundaes. Who doesn't love that?
Josiah with his creation
Jacob & Callie with the tallest ice cream cones I'd ever seen!
Does Caleb look content or what? :)

As David was paying for lunch, there was a HUGE gumball machine next to him. The boys asked if they could have one, and David said "sure! it's vacation!" They were those gumballs that are practically the same size as your head! Josiah made a valiant effort at fitting it in his mouth though! :)

how fun that we both had carolina mountain vacations this year... now only if we could have matched up the dates that would have been even better. and i understand the heart-pounding when you realize your child is TOO close to the edge. but the views were gorgeous and worth the hike up!

Looks like a wonderful vacation! I love that picture of Josiah with the gumball in his mouth. It needs a frame, I think. :)
