Mr. Happy Happy....and a busted lip

We all got to church just fine this morning...the five kids and I. I was feeling rather in control when we arrived with plenty of time to spare and happy children in tow, so I left the stroller the car. The boys walked in with Caleb, Callie followed along, and I carried Joseph and all our other "stuff" (my purse, bible, KidShape choir bag, 2 diaper bags).

Church went great. Sang in the first service. Served in the 2 year old class for the second service. Picked up Mr. Happy Happy (Joseph) first - he was ALL smiles. LOVED his class, LOVED his teachers, LOVED his new friends. That kid is just always Mr. Happy Happy. Caleb was brought to me while I picked up my other 3 kids. Then it started to get crazy. I realized I had 2 babies to try and get out to the car, all the other older ones were trying to hand me their "creations" from their class, etc. I asked the boys to hold Caleb's hands again and walk outside to the van. Apparently somewhere across the parking lot Caleb fell and busted his lip a bit. I guess next week I'll bring the stroller.

Made it home. Enjoyed chicken chili that was waiting for us in the crockpot. All the kids had good naps. I reviewed my choreography for the first 4 songs of the kids' musical (i'm SO not a dancer....) and then headed off for rehearsal. I had to be there early because tonight was drama auditions, so David brought the 5 kids an hour later!

Everyone made it through music & missions and loved it. Joseph & Caleb were again, happy boys when I picked them up. So thankful for happy, flexible babies. Those schedules do work after all! :) Home for dinner and bed. Aaah...Thankful for a quiet day at home tomorrow cleaning up and doing laundry! :)
