Josiah was literally bouncing all over the place that afternoon. He asked me about every 15 minutes (again, NO LIE) where Daddy was, was he in SC still, in NC yet, in VA yet, etc. When the other two woke up from naps, we went down to a pet store for a bit to try and distract them. After coming home, we waited in the driveway so we could see his car the MINUTE he got home to us. It was SO good to have him back and know that we were FINALLY done with the 2 month separation!!!

Waiting for Daddy to Come!!! (Thursday June 4)
I think Thursday was probably the longest day of Josiah's life. The kids knew that David was coming on Thursday, and so at 5:45 AM (NO LIE), Jacob was in my room. I rolled over and told him "SHHH" - because Callie was still asleep in there. He said "Why, is daddy still asleep?" Poor kid - I told him that Daddy wasn't going to be there until dinner time and I thought he was going to just die. So of course I did what every good mommy would do - we CALLED David on the phone - waking him up - so that he could share in the joy of his kids being SO excited to see him! :)

This was the first thing Josiah drew on the driveway - totally on his own...I didn't make any suggestions.
Josiah worked very hard on his picture - it was of David and Josiah holding hands. His little heart must have been ready to explode waiting for David.
