GO COCKS!!!

As you know, Josiah is obsessed with football and totally all about the Gamecocks.  We never were really into college sports...and then we moved here.  This place is totally cuckoo over their college sports - its pretty hilarious actually.  We have gotten more into it as the years have gone by (and as the Titans have gotten worse :( ).  Anyways, a couple months ago, one of Josiah's Sunday night missions teacher approached us and said he had tickets to a USC game that he couldn't go to and he wanted to give them to Josiah as an early birthday present!  We knew Josiah would be totally elated and decided to surprise him!

So Saturday morning, David told Josiah that he wasn't going to be doing his flag football game - but instead, he and David were going to go do something special for an early birthday present.  Josiah was totally cool with that (as I knew he would be...very trusting).  They left for the game and David said he still was just very relaxed.  They finally hit a ton of traffic for the game as they neared the stadium and Josiah noticed that many of the cars were all decorated out in Gamecock stuff...but he still didn't know.  Finally David gave him a "Beat Arkansas" sticker and Josiah's face lit up and said "are we going to see the Gamecocks play??"  YES!!

 Awesome seats - thanks Bruce!
Josiah enjoyed seeing the marching band do their formations - he'd never seen that before!

David said Josiah was pretty much in shell shock throughout the first half.  Watching, taking it all in, but very overwhelmed :).  He kept texting me saying "Josiah's really quiet!"  I knew he'd be overwhelmed by all of it (90,000 people...josiah's not crazy about huge crowds...especially loud crazy people :)  ).  Finally after halftime, he got into it and was more comfortable :).
The big screen was very cool - Connor Shaw...

There we go!  Happy and waving the towel and everything!  :)
It was a sweet time for them to enjoy.  So thankful they got to go.  And we won!!! 38-17 I think!
And then that night David started laying down boards for the "floor" of the treehouse :)
