The Playseum

Courtney had told me about this great new children's playseum that opened up in the fall - it was in Bethesda, MD so on Tuesday morning, we packed up and headed over. We had a GREAT time - it is technically a children's used bookstore with a cityscape. They had playrooms of all different kinds, and in every room there were books that fit with the theme. All 4 of the kids found things they liked to do, and we had a great time!
Josiah and Jacob headed to the Arts & Crafts room first. The boys both painted a ceramic figurine, which the staff fired & glazed for us to take home. Callie did a mosaic tile. What fun!

Callie spent some time in the Salon - playing dress up and doing hair! :)

Jacob loved the pet store - it had real bunnies, hamsters, birds and fish!
Caleb loved everything...especially the bookshelves! :)
The grocery store...we spend a lot of time here in real life AND in play time! :) Josiah was seriously considering his options in here! He had just learned about the food pyramid at school, so he was working on a balanced meal.

Josiah and Jacob in the Science room...preparing for a science experiment.
Callie & Mom in the "Grandma's Attic" room - lots of old fashioned stuff and some old wedding dresses to play in! :)

In the back of the place was a big stage with instruments & costumes. They spent a lot of time back here!! Can't help themselves - they are always around a band! :)
Callie's "rock star" face! (dressed as a bumble bee of course!)
Bumblebee and Clone trooper....in a band!
Caleb's first piano lesson with Tutu!
One last stop at the art room before heading home. They had a wall with plexiglass on it and the kids could paint all over it - isn't that a great idea!!!

I am the designer for the Playseum's new website (they are building a new location in Annapolis)... I was wondering if I could get permission to place it on the website. Please let me know at thinkpepper@yahoo.com
