After a few days of a broken phone I was sufficiently annoyed. When we came back from Thanksgiving break, everything ramps up significantly as we get closer and closer to the children's musical. There were dozens of emails and texts going back and forth between me, my directors, parents, the Music Secretary, etc - and then all of a sudden my phone died and I felt totally isolated for two days. It was very unnerving. When I finally was able to take it to the Sprint repair center, they plugged it in to their magic machine to reboot it and all these beeps started going off with all the messages I had missed in the last 48 hours!! UGH!
We had our first Christmas party of the season - and it was a fun one! For Children's and Preschool Ministry volunteers! My friend Alli coordinated it and we had a blast! (We took my neighbors two kids with us too - they are in NY for a long weekend away and there ended up being a last minute lapse between the two sets of grandparents coming and going to take care of the kids - so their boys came over Friday afternoon until the next set of grandparents could come pick them up on Saturday afternoon!)
Thanks for my tights Tutu!
(I had told my Mom that I was having a hard time finding knit tights down here in SC! All I was finding was the thin, nylon ones! Mom found some up in chilly VA and mailed them to us. Thanks Mom!)
The boys were happy to sit at their "own" table with their friends :)
Each table setting had its own container of play doh and there was a competition to see who could make the best creation from the Christmas Story out of their play doh. David won in the Adult category for his "baby Jesus". :)
