I forgot to take a picture before we actually started "demolition". But this will give you an idea anyways. it was the original dark wood cabinets - in good shape, just dated looking. And the countertop was the "butcher block" wood-looking laminate. Definitely dated. No question.
Here's the new kitchen!

Still just laminate (sorry new owners - don't have the money for granite for YOU!), but a granite-looking one. Looks so much better. And the lighter cabinets & new hardware really updated the look. My personal favorite is the new sink (twice as deep) and faucet!!!

Beautiful Katy! I hate that I didn't get to see it in person. I think that might be my first visit back to VA that I haven't stepped foot in your house! Hoping there will be an offer soon...enjoy that kitchen until then. :)
i love it! and i got the SAME faucet a couple months ago when ours broke!!! :-)
The kitchen looks great! I'm jealous since ours is still in "construction zone mode"! I can't wait till I get to take a "finished kitchen" picture!
Wow! That's a huge change! I love it! It's amazing what a difference just painting the cabinets made! I'm with you about no granite for the no owners! No way, the laminate looks great! They have some really nice choices now for laminate!
