...and the whirlwind continues!

Thanks to all who prayed for us this past weekend - it was great! We got the official "vote-in" at our new church in SC (www.northsidebaptist.org) and are SO excited about being a part of their family there. David was able to poke around his office a bit and brought home a box of music to go through for Easter (Easter Sunday is his first Sunday there!) We looked around at some neighborhoods with a realtor and that was very helpful to me especially, to be able to see where houses were, how far they were, what needs we have, etc. It did make me anxious for our house here to get sold though! :)

The kitchen looks great with the newly painted cabinets, new countertops, and new sink - lovely! I promise to post before/after pictures soon....

Now for the latest in this adventure!! My mom fell at the end of last week and broke her wrist. She called last night after meeting with her doctor and they have scheduled surgery for tomorrow morning. After much scurrying around last night and this morning, I've finally got plans in place. The younger kids and I will be driving up there tonight and stay through Friday night. I got a babysitter lined up to keep the kids for me tomorrow so that I can take Mom to the hospital and stay with her, get her back home, etc. I'll be with her on Friday and then come home that night. She was relieved that I could come up and be with her, and I'm glad to get to do it. Josiah is going to stay here with David so he doesn't have to miss school, and he'll spend his afternoons playing with Grayson until David gets off work (BLESS you Jayne, thank you SO much!)

So, it's off to go pack again! I've been battling a cold since Sunday night, so pray for some extra energy for me over these next few days. Love you guys!

I'm so glad you're going to be able to be there for your mom!! I know that timing is never good for accidents like that, but thankfully it did happen before you moved, when you could be there to help!!
Can't wait to check out the church website! I continue to be so excited for you guys! God is faithful and I'm praying all the more that your house will sell quickly!

wow...praying for you Katy!! What a trooper you are. I heard a quote recently (from the author of the Shack) that we are to live in the grace that is given to us for the day. :) God will provide the strength for you...and all the details to be ironed out.

I had to click on the website to see where this church is...Columbia!! Thats only like 1.5 hr from me! yahooo!!!!

Katy, I'm so sorry about your mom! Glad you can go be with her though. We loved having the boys over,so please know that they are welcome anytime! Poor Jake, we were talking about summer plans, and he asked about doing stuff with Josiah. I told him that I wasn't sure about that because you all would be moving...mistake...Jake got all upset in the car. Poor guy. He just doesn't know what he's going to do without Josiah, one of his first friends (his words). He had me about to cry right along with him! You know you have to plan lots of visits back to good ol' Virginia Beach!

Your Mom will love having ya'll there for a few days! Don't worry about a thing back here. The boys will be fine. Grayson can't wait to introduce Josiah to all his "stuff". He's already got a little list going in his head of what they will do in the afternoons.
