Pumpkin Carving Time!

We're sort of traditionalists on this one. No fancy carving tools or stencils. Just a knife and a sharpie. This year, Josiah designed his own pumpkin! I love these memories!! (BTW, both boys refuse to get their hands in their and squish the seeds and goop around...this was always my favorite part!!!)

traditional is good -- after a day or 2 in the sun, our pumpkin isn't looking so much like Ariel anymore :)

Hmmm...is David looking a little blonder these days or is it just hte lighting in the picture? Ryan highlighted his hair once and I literally made him wear a hat until it grew out. Needless to say it did not look good, but I like David's color!
Those are some big pumpkins. I don't think any of ours are that big. Both boy's turned out really nicely!

Such fun - we haven't gotten into carving yet - I'm waiting until Anderson starts asking about it - I'm not a fan!!! Anderson was so bummed he dropped & broke his pumpkin at your front step - he was weepy in the car!

Awesome pumpkins!! Looks like your family had as much fun as we did carving:) We go traditional here as well, though I use a pencil instead of a sharpie...need to be able to erase any oopsies:) Jake and Sadie did squish the seedy goop a little, but it wasn't their favorite (nor mine!:)

I love having family tradtions and the memories that will last a life time for my kids too! Such fun in the fall and halloween. We still do the painting of the pumpkins, maybe carving next year. The boys are too cute in this picture with their pumpkins.
