Josiah's Kindergarten class had their first field trip on Thursday. They were working on the letter "P" this week, and so we got to head to the Pumpkin Patch! We were so excited! This particular pumpkin patch also has a petting zoo, and is where Josiah & Jacob are having their birthday party at next week, so I was thrilled to get to go and check it out again! Heidi (BLESS her) offered to take Jacob and Callie, so I was really able to spend the morning with Josiah and enjoy this "first" with him. We had a great time. It was so fun to watch him interact in this new way with all his new friends at school. He really loves it. He loves his teachers. He loves his new friends. And he LOVED going on a field trip! Thankfully, it went very well with no lost or hurt children...since it was my first official outing as a room mom, I was glad!
The bus was a highlight for MANY!!!
This was Josiah running to get in line for the hayride once the bus arrived at the pumpkin patch. You don't think he was excited at all, do you? :)
Here's Bertie the Turkey! They kept us entertained while we waited for the hayride!
Josiah sat by Daniel R. and Daniel A. on the hayride (and mommy of course!)
Here's his class! 18 boys and 4 girls - SO funny! Josiah is on the bottom row, 2nd from the left, with his legs pulled up.
Snack time!!! It was a big deal because the other room mom and I brought juice boxes and little debbie snack cakes. They're normally only allowed to have water & healthy things for snack, so this was FUN!
Josiah and Jake in the goat pen...I can remember Josiah being too afraid to go in here not too many years ago!
The boys were running around the chicken pen...like the chickens!
Hunting for the perfect pumpkin....
...and here it is! :)
