Two Pool Play Dates in One Day!!

Thursday was quite a fun filled day for us Schrodts!! We headed over to Heidi's in the morning for a pool play date in her backyard with some other friends from small group. Sue and Jayne were both there with their kids as well, so it was great to catch up with everyone for a bit. The boys played while we sat around the table with babies and muffins - sounds pretty good, doesn't it! My boys thought it was SO cool that Bradley had a pool in his backyard with his "magic ladder" and were so excited to swim in it again (turns out it was the last time before the pool hibernated for the winter...) I could have stayed for hours, but then it was off for the next pool play date! (Oh, and I forgot my camera on this one...)

On the way to our next play date, I ran through the drive through to get lunch for the kids. Jacob was OVERJOYED to discover that Burger King offers Kraft Mac & Cheese (also known as "his favorite kind", much to my chagrin...yes, my own son prefers the box fake stuff to my yummy, homemade kind...sigh). The burger that I ate turned out to be a BIG mistake later on....but that will be discussed in a later post...

We headed out next to meet the Wiedmaier's at their neighborhood pool. Sandi and her family moved out towards the tunnel last year, and so we have had to try hard to still get together to do fun things together and with our kids. We were both pregnant with our oldest boys together (Samuel and Josiah), and they have grown up together over these last almost 6 years. Both boys are starting Kindergarten now, and we both know that these play dates are going to be harder and harder to schedule! So we were greatly looking forward to one last hoorah before summer ended. The kids had a great time together, as always. Sandi and I enjoyed catching up and watching our babies - Callie and Morgan. She is a sweet friend to me, and our kids are so sweet to watch together.
