Tomorrow's the Big Day!
The backpack is packed...the school supplies are ready...the uniform is laid out...the special cinnamon rolls are ready to be baked in the morning...the hairs were cut tonight...a shower was taken...a sleeping and very excited boy is ready! Tomorrow is the first day of school for Josiah. We really are excited. He totally is - as the day has gotten closer, I kept wondering if he would change his tune...but NO! He is really excited. I'm so thankful. So thankful that we are blessed to be able to send him to ASCS. Thankful that David is a mile down the road at the other campus. Thankful that we live only 4 miles from the school. Thankful that he already knows one friend in his class. Thankful that his teachers LOVE Jesus. Thankful that his education will be TOP-rated. Thankful for the option of doing half-day kindergarten. Thankful that he is ready! Thankful that he already wants to keep his bear on green all year (their discipline system...after a few warnings, they have to take down a bear and go to yellow...and then red.... that's bad news!) Thankful that I'm at peace tonight when I wasn't sure how I'd be feeling tonight. Still now sure what tomorrow will be like, but for now, I think we are ready! I'm praying for his protection tomorrow (as I will be every day), and that I can hold it together well enough to just show him how much I love him and how excited I am for him...so that He knows he is loved and is excited about school too. I so love this boy. NOW I'm getting emotional!

Oh Katy, I am sure you are so excited, but so not at the same time. I dread next year at this time :) Go JOSIAH GO! Wishing and praying for a happy happy day for all!
It is going to be GREAT! I think its hilarious...I have cinnamon rolls for tomorrow morning too:)
I'll be praying that Josiah's first day is all that he anticipates and that you have the strength to let him fly -- such a special day tomorrow -- Good Luck!
praying for you...
He's going to do awesome! He sounds so ready which is great. And it is such a peace to know that what we are trying to teach them at home will be reinforced at school.
Praying for a great first day - for all of you and that the excitement will only grow with each passing day! You do have a lot to be thankful for!
