Camping Adventure - Tuesday

After sleeping GREAT, we woke up, put our sweatshirts on, and headed out to say good morning to the world!  Caleb decided to help himself to a drink...
 Made pancakes and eggs...
...and the kids helped out by cooking their sausage links on their roasting sticks that we made!  :)

The only annoying thing about a camping trip with a 2 year old are the multiple walks you have to take down to the bathroom....sigh....

After breakfast (yum!) we headed out for a little nature hike...the weather was perfect - shorts and sweatshirts (because it was still early...)
There were letter markings all the way through the hike...that was fun for the kids to find...
Everyone found a good walking stick along the way
At the end of the trail was this pile of alligator bones and a sign reminding us of the importance of staying ON the trail and not venturing off....
The whole second half of the walk looked like this - Josiah and David were ahead of us DEEP in theological discussion...I think about the creation of the earth...SO thankful for my husband and his love of studying scripture.  Josiah LOVES to learn like his daddy, and I am thankful for the knowledge that David is passing on to him.
This one decided to collect rocks in the pockets of her sweatshirt...but it began to weigh her down a bit :)
When we got back, the big boys went to go try their hand at fishing in the lake...

...and the little kids and I went to the playground :)

We all had lunch later on and then hit the pool for several hours in the afternoon!

Callie and Caleb wanted their turn at fishing a bit later before dinner...

Guess she won't be sleeping in these jammies!!

Another fun dessert idea given to me by Beth (because I refuse to join Pinterest....I make her forward me all the great ideas and recipes!)
Waffle cones filled with any variety of toppings that you want (marshmallows, chocolate chips, butterscotch & heath chips, nuts, mint pieces, bananas, strawberries, etc).  Wrap in foil and cook over the grill or fire (our grill was still hot from dinner so that's what we used).
 Turns into melted deliciousness!!

Taking one more stab at fishing before calling it a night!
