We'd been talking all week about heading to the Y to swim in the indoor pool. We had two reasons - one was to let the kids burn off some steam, but the second was to let the boys "practice" their upcoming baptism. (I didn't want Jacob to be the one to do a cannonball into the baptismal - anyone seen THAT youtube video?) Well, we finally made it out there on Friday night - and we met the Boyers and the Ratz families. We had a great time swimming and catching up. I had to chuckle to myself hearing Sue and Heidi talk (and fret) about how in the world they were going to keep up with their three kids this year at the pool. I kept telling them - hello! I did it all last summer...and even had 4 with me on the days I had Carter! It's all about adjusting to new stages of life I suppose. The kids had a blast together (well, until Bradley about got his eye blasted out by the pipe pumping water into the pool - poor guy).
I had sort of a "moment" that night. Before we even left the house to go. I wasn't sure what suit I was going to wear. I knew I wouldn't fit into my "regular" suit. But I also didn't think I'd fit into the maternity suits that my sweet friend sent to me. After all, I'm still wearing regular clothes. (Which by the way is WAY longer than I EVER have before....) Well, so I go ahead and try on the maternity suit....guess what. Fits just fine. Good grief. And sure enough I look quite pregnant in it! I told David "I think I'm more pregnant than I thought I was"! I guess the denial is over!!! I wore a maternity top on Saturday and Sunday. After all, I'll be 16 weeks this week...I guess I may as well accept reality! :)

oh I bet you looked so cute in your maternity suit! did Courtney send hers to you? it's time to ENJOY that tummy and show it off...even if it is little! :) so glad y'all had fun at the pool and got to spend time with friends too.
I loved wearing a maternity bathing suit when I was pregnant with Jonathna -- It was the first time in years I felt like I wasn't just 'fat' in a bathing suit! Enjoy it...and take pics!
yes, you should start posting belly pictures:)
I guess 16 weeks is about when denial is over! Before too long we'll have a gender to go with the belly!
