When I took Josiah to his bed today at 2:00 pm...literally kicking and screaming "I don't need a nap", I gently reminded him that it's been a full week, up LATE last night because of small group, and we'll be up late again tonight for a rehearsal at church David & I have to be at for the praise & worship concerts this weekend at church. He insisted he was NOT tired, did not need a nap, etc, etc. As I knew he would be, he was completely asleep in 2 minutes, and is STILL asleep after 2 hours. Mommy ALWAYS knows best!

Don't you love it when you're right!!! What did he say when he woke up?
mommy DOES know best! they just never see it that way, do they??? :)
Oh how funny, would you know that we had the same thing happen yesterday. One minute Bradley and I were laying on my bedroom floor chatting away happily and the next minute he crying like an emotional little girl that he missed the icecream truck and his friend hit him with a toy, but it was ok and he wanted to still play with him and on and on about one thing after another. So I lifted him to my bed and said I think you need a nap and he started screaming and doing the same thing but he too fell asleep instantly. I don't remember the last time he took a nap, but was thankful because of his graduation last night.
Yes, even at 5 (and a half:) they still need a nap from time to time. Jake has been out of naps for a while now, but he definitely had a few this week/weekend:) So a resounding "Amen" from me to "Mommy ALWAYS knows best!"
