A High and a Low

Well, it's ended up being a really good week. My High this week was the date night that David and I got to have on Wednesday. We had a really nice evening together (it was so nice being able to hold HANDS, not diaper bags or kids). We even got to sit at a little table for 2 - rather than the huge table for 5 in the BACK of the restaurants! We enjoyed it, the kids had a blast at Bradley's (thanks AGAIN Heidi!), and we felt rejuvented!

Now for the LOW - Josiah was registered for an art class that was supposed to start today. It was through our Parks & Rec. center - 75 minutes, 1x a week for 4 weeks or so. Well, it was cancelled. He was really disappointed - handled it well, but I was so bummed for him. I told him we'd go find him some special craft projects to work on instead. Oh well.

It's been good though. David has Monday off, so I'm looking forward to the weekend! :)

So glad you got to go and had a great time!!! It was amazing to me that you never even knew that 3 boys were up there playing together. I love that they play so well together. They were so insync whiling doing their Rescue Hero boy thing together. As I already told you....it was so funny the next day Bradley wondering where his friends were?

A date night and holding hands sounds so nice right now! Doesn't marriage just get better with age?? I'm sorry to hear that Josiah was disappointed about his art class, but I'm sure his creative mommy came up with some original projects of her own!

What a treat! I love those much needed date nights. That is a bummer about the art class. I hate when things like that happen, especially to little kids. It's hard watching them go through disappointments, but those are teachable moments and they seem to bounce back quickly!

the date night sounded fabulous! i know you both had an amazing time together. :) so sorry about Josiah's art class. i know how hard those things are to explain to little ones! i'm sure you'll come up with some exciting things for him to work on.

What a GREAT high, and a disappointing low. The lows are always hardest when they hit our kids....don't you wish we could just take it for them. But, Jen was right...great teachable moments!! :)

Yay! for date nights!! There aren't enough of them during this season of raising little ones! It makes them all the more enjoyable. Sorry for Josiah. Disappointment is so heart-breaking for little ones. Hopefully next time it will work out for him.

Date night is always a huge HIGH!! Yeah for the Schrodt's!! No, not the family of five, but the 2 that started it all. Glad you had time to reconnect.
