So just so you all know, I am officially married to the smartest man in the world!!!! He has now officially finished his new, 4x4 Rubik's cube TWICE!! And I saw him do it!! Unbelievable. He's the only person I know that has actually been able to do the original one (3x3), and my sister Kelli got him a 4x4 one for Christmas since he's such a smarty pants!! I really didn't think he'd be able to do it - I don't even have the first clue about how to go about it. But he did!! Way to go, honey! You really are the smartest person I know!! And I love you for it!
PS - No picture, because he takes his cube with him to school to show his students how smart their teacher is!!! Sorry!

Way to Go David!!!! I bet once he puts his mind to something like that there's no turning back. I don't know how those things work either. Great job!!!
Yeah David!! That truly is amazing!! Just looking at those things makes me confused!! :) But the colors are pretty!! :)
that is pretty amazing! i'm clueless when it comes to those things! i can see why you are proud! :)
thats like the Will Smith character on "Pursuit of Happyness"...so smart! I'm with you katy, there is no way I would be able to sit still and figure that out...i can however sit still looking at blogs all day long!! How is the running?? I have a running partner now...its been good. :)
That's hilarious! A perfect gift choice. I love it when that happens!
Great job David! I wouldn't have a clue where to begin on one of those things. What an accomplishment!!
I have tried and failed many times to complete a Rubik's cube. I've always found it hard to believe that there are actually people who can figure them out. I guess David proves that those people are out there. I am interested...how long did it take?? You certainly did marry yourself a "smarty pants!!" Hopefully your kids will be just like him!
That's hilarious!!! I thought I had the smartest husband! ; )
Good job David!!!
Wow...I can't even get one side to match up...much less, an entire cube. AMAZING
Do you guys get the Liberty Journal??? I'm just wondering b/c there is an article about an LU student who can solve the cube in less than 13 seconds (the world record is 9.55 seconds). Apparently he "trains" at least an hour everyday perfecting his technique. I'll send you the article if you don't have it. Who knew that "cubing" was a competitive "sport?!"
