Mrs. Farmer's Class - Last Day of School!

Since Callie's party was at the same time, I put David in charge of Josiah's class party.  I had it all planned out, people had sent in food, all the supplies were ready, etc - he just had to make sure the games ran according to plan :)We reused some of the Minute to Win It games that we did at the choir retreat several months back - since I have a never-ending supply of qtips from that, it was pretty easy!  :)

Nothing better than wrapping kids in duct tape and blowing qtips at them, right? They loved it!
It was a luau theme!

The WONDERFUL Mrs. Farmer
Josiah said Mrs. Farmer and a "bunch of the girls" were crying and stuff.  He said it was weird :).  Gotta love 4th grade boys.

Oh we have LOVED her this year!!  She was the best!!

Ms. Maner even came back to see the kids!!  She was their student teacher for the first half of the year and the kids loved her! She's hoping to teach in our district somewhere next fall!

Last Day of 4th Grade!!

Jacob's Class Party

Definitely a crazy day.  But so thankful for my kids amazing teachers and their awesome school and I would not miss it for the world!  We had 3 class parties to be at today, two of which were happening at the SAME time and I was in charge of both!  First up however, was Jacob's class party.  It was in the morning (hooray), and I was merely a contributor to and NOT in charge of (hallelujah!).  So we went and watched and enjoyed this sweet face.

His teacher loves frogs, so it was frog-themed :)

His class was more than 3/4 boys.  oh my.  His teacher was uh-maze-ing!.

Jacob and Owen have been in class together for the last two years.  Fingers crossed for 3rd grade!!
Caleb liked the frog punch (green Hawaiian punch and Sprite)
Judah was just happy to be along for the ride!  (For now at least!)

On to set up for Callie and Josiah's parties!

Last Day of School!!!

Goodbye 2nd grade!  Get ready for Jacob in 3rd grade!!
4th grade was EPIC!! says josiah
Oh Callie loved kindergarten - and now she's ready to conquer 1st grade!
And THIS sweet face?  I'm so glad I get another year with him!!!  :)You aren't off to school quite yet mister!

Let's Go Blowfish!

The school always participates in a Reading challenge that is sponsored by our area baseball team - the Columbia Blowfish.  The kids were thrilled to complete it and go to another game this year!  :)

A few of the kids would have stayed until the bitter end....the others and the tired parents overruled them and we headed home after a couple of hours :).

A Night of Worship

What an amazing night of worship we had at Northside.  David and I are so blessed to be able to worship alongside of these amazing people.

Killed a Smurf

Had a sweet friend and her family over today - love holiday weekends - and somehow in the craziness that is life, Judah got a hold of this little container of "flarp" or "floam" or "flubber" or whatever it is and it spilled on my carpet.  Ugh.  This nasty substance that I knew - as soon as it entered my house - would end up in my carpet one day.  You know what?  Jacob ADORED his Sunday school teachers that gave this to him one week for answering a question right and so I wouldn't trade it for anything.  Blue carpet and all.

Zoo Field Trip

I love being at home with my kids during these precious years.  I am SO grateful for the time that I get to spend with them and the ways that I am able to be involved with them at school!  I was able to chaperone Jacob's field trip AGAIN, and since we have a membership there, David brought the boys and met us there (I rode the bus with the kids :)  ).

Aren't their little 2nd grade class shirts adorable?  This is Mario, David, and Jacob - 3 amigos!
The koala was AWAKE!!  A rarity!  They sleep 20 hours of the day!!

 Checking out the bunnies

They had a great time on the field trip, and on the bus ride on the way back to school, one of the other 2nd grade teachers came over to the kids and said to each one of them, "____ (insert name), you did such a great job today, that I'm giving you the day off on Monday and you don't have to come to school!" They got all excited and then realized Monday is Memorial Day and a holiday :).  8 year olds are so cute!
I guess that Jacob didn't get enough of the outdoors that day, because he and Josiah decided to sleep in the treehouse that night :).
